We consider the mind to be the voice that never stops — the ego’s inner commentary, planning, judging, defending itself. Then machines learned to imitate that voice: they generate language, reason, predict, and increasingly perform what we once called thinking. So the question becomes unavoidable — if thinking can be reproduced, what is our mind?

Meanwhile we have never been more connected, and yet the experience of being a separate self has perhaps never been more continuously reinforced. What does presence mean when our attention is endlessly captured, predicted and mirrored by machines?

Our true mind is the Heart — not sentiment, not emotion, not the opposite of reason, but the dimension of presence in which Awareness recognizes itself, prior to thought. Our true mind is not merely the capacity to think. It is the conscious space in which we recognize ourselves as the presence in which everything is.

In the conscious recognition of the Heart, thought need not be fought or rejected; the inner dialogue simply loses its authority, and as we come to abide there it gradually fades. What remains is an intelligence already one with everything and everyone.
